I have recently received my new brief outline for our next project at college. The subject is recycling. We have to come up with a design for a hat, that explores this subject. Which I am finding vast!
Recently we had a visit and talk by Lizzie Harrison from Antiform Leeds. This a company set up by her in 2007. In a very small nutshell the company uses other companies textile waste and items that would go to landfill to create their own clothing line.

The talk was very interesting and created much food for thought. It also opened my eyes to the many possibilities within the recycling and green market. It has moved on a lot over the years and there are many designers creating interesting, functional and beautiful designs. Far removed from the bin liner dress!
